My husband and I traveled with Lisa in 2025 to Washington D.C. with other travelers from Iowa. I'd been to D.C. twice before but my husband hadn't so I figured many of the places we visited would be repeat adventures.


Lisa did such a wonderful job of lining up activities and places to visit. Even locations I'd been to before were more in depth and exciting. At the Arlington cemetery we even got to go inside the building after the changing of the guard and wander the grounds, which were both things I'd not experienced previously.


We toured the Ford theatre where President Lincoln was shot and stood within 8 feet of the viewing box he was sitting in. 


We visited the Pentagon where the airplane crashed on 9/11 and got to experience the memorial grounds and spoke with a gentleman that is now retired but was there the day the crash happened. 


We toured the FBI building and so many other memorable memorial locations. One of my previous D.C trips was a one day flight as a nurse chaperone with an HONOR FLIGHT to accompany some veterans from Iowa and I didn't think anything could top that experience. But I was wrong because Lisa's D.C. trip through Word and Wander Travel far exceeded every full experience one could fit into a 5 day trip! It was a great experience and I'm excited to travel with her again.
